In his 35 years of professional experience, Steven has worked for some of the largest photography studios in North Carolina. He has photographed fashion in Puerto Rico and kayaking expeditions on Costa Rican rivers. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts and an Associate Degree in Photographic Technology, then honed his skills by visiting locations around the globe. His photography has been published in several well-known magazines such as Skin Diving, Rodales Scuba Diving, Florida Scuba News, Underwater U.S.A. and Southern Living. In addition, Steven has won numerous awards, including awards from Seaspace in Houston, Texas, the Seas national awards in Raleigh, North Carolina and awards from the international Brighton Film Festival in Brighton, England.
        When not working in a High Point studio shooting commercial subjects such as small products, furniture or fashion, Steven spends time photographing the natural beauty which surrounds us. Being a naturalist and conservationist he always has his eyes open looking for that special shot. “Because nature is so beautiful, we want to touch it, to hold onto it, to make contact somehow. These feelings get channeled into my work. I try to create the feelings of being in contact by using my camera.”
